Accommodation
Families stay in a separate furnished apartment near the hospital rather than in a ward. Housing is provided by the partner company Yuncheng "YouJia" Hotel Management Co., Ltd.: a one-room apartment costs 2300 CNY a month (2 to 3 people), a two-room one 3500 CNY a month (3 to 5 people), with daily and half-month rates available for shorter stays. The deposit and utilities are billed separately.

Who provides the housing
The housing for the course is not provided by the hospital itself but by the partner company Yuncheng "YouJia" Hotel Management Co., Ltd. (出租方:有家公寓), which owns and manages the residential complex 50 to 300 metres from Boya Clinic. The rental terms, price and house rules are set by that company, not by the clinic; the company undertakes to give advance notice of any changes.
The apartment must be booked no later than 10 days before arrival, with a copy of your ticket sent in advance — the clinic coordinator helps with this and with paying the deposit at check-in. The apartment is prepared ahead of your arrival: the electricity meter is reset to zero, and drinking water, towels and hand sanitiser are left ready.
The coordinator helps arrange the move-in and everyday matters through an interpreter — from showing you the apartment and its appliances to liaising with the management company if any questions or complaints come up.
The clinic does not provide the housing itself
Boya Clinic has no legal ties to Yuncheng "YouJia" Hotel Management Co., Ltd. — the company sets its own terms and prices for accommodation. The clinic coordinator helps with the booking and the first steps in the apartment, but the rental terms themselves are the management company's responsibility.
Apartments and amenities
The operator offers two types of apartment: a one-room apartment (for 2 to 3 people — two adults and one child) and a larger two-room apartment (for 3 to 5 people — three adults and two children). Both come fully furnished, with everything you need: a television, a fridge, air conditioning, a washing machine, a kitchen induction cooktop, a wardrobe, a drinking water cooler, a sofa, a coffee table and free Wi-Fi.
There is no need to bring furniture, kitchenware or appliances — everything is already there. The photographs below were taken in the operator's actual apartments; the specific option for your family size and dates will be shown to you before departure.
How much the rent costs
The rent depends on the type of apartment and on how many days you stay: a full month, a "half month", or a daily rate.

Deposit, utilities and payment
At check-in, on top of the first month's rent, you pay a deposit for the apartment and a prepayment for utilities. The rent for the next month is due 5 days before it starts; if the payment is more than 5 days late, the stay is recalculated at the daily rate for each day of delay.
If you check out suddenly, without notifying the coordinator or the management company in advance, the monthly payment already made is not refunded. On check-out any damage to the property is assessed and covered from the deposit; if the damage costs more than the deposit, you pay the difference yourself.

House rules
The complex's rules are standard rental terms: take care of the appliances and furniture, keep things clean and don't exceed the power limit on your own appliances. For questions or complaints about the housing, contact the management company Yuncheng "YouJia" Hotel Management Co., Ltd. through an interpreter.
On check-in
- Check the appliances, furniture and plumbing carefully together with an interpreter — it's best to report any fault straight away, or it may otherwise be counted as caused by you
- Check the drain in the sink, the toilet and the washbasin before you start using the apartment
- Look after the apartment key and the lift card — don't hand them to strangers or other patients
- If hospital staff ask you to provide your passport and visa details for verification, please provide the necessary information
During your stay
- Don't put food scraps or other objects down the sink or toilet — clearing a blockage is paid for out of your advance payment
- Don't stick anything to the walls, move or damage the furniture, smoke in the rooms, or throw cigarette butts out of the window — any damage is deducted from the deposit
- Don't run high-power appliances (over 2 kW) continuously in the apartment — this is a fire-safety requirement
- Look after your money, documents and personal belongings — the complex management, the hospital, interpreters and nurses are not responsible for lost items
- The operator also asks that you not hold gambling or unrelated gatherings in the apartment, and not swap apartments without the management's permission
Everyday life in the first days
The first few days usually go on settling in: working out the appliances in the apartment, finding the nearest shop and pharmacy, setting up payments from your phone. The coordinator is available during this period and can help through the interpreter if you need to buy anything.
Drinking water in China is usually taken from a cooler — the apartment already has one, and a 19-litre bottle costs 8 CNY and can be ordered for delivery. Cleaning during the course is up to you; if you have any special requests about the housing, tell the coordinator in advance so there's time to arrange them.
Useful tips
- Tap water in China is only drunk after boiling — for drinking, use the bottled water from the cooler
- An extra folding bed costs 200 CNY a month — ask for one in advance if you need it
